FREDD HAAS: In choosing your firm, certain things are obvious. You want someone who's experienced and knowledgeable in the area of law that you need help with. So, for example, in personal injury, you're going to need a lawyer who has spent a lot of their time in that area.

After that, what's most important, I believe, is finding an attorney who believes in your case and listens to the case from your perspective. You want someone at the end who understands how you've been impacted by the injury, is willing to take your case and you and present it to the best of his or her ability.

At my law firm, I'm the attorney you're going to be working with. So, you need to let me know the facts of the case and then, at the end, come to a conclusion as to whether or not I'm the right person for you. I've learned I can't be everything for everybody. But, what I have also learned is I will take time to listen. I'll take time to know. And, at the end, I'm confident we'll have a good working relationship.
